“And I said to them, Cast away the detestable things your eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.”
Ezekiel 20:7
Dear Lord God,
I trust in You and You alone. Protect me and encourage me to put on Your armor daily in order to shield myself from the wiles of the devil; his idols, his detestable likes, all to separate us from You.
Grant that I daily surrender my life to You, so that I am not led astray. Open and close the doors to make straight my path, leading me to people I need and to people who need me.
Let me see others with the eyes of Jesus, as wonderfully made creations, living in this broken world, deserving of the Good News and breaking away from the grip of the devil. In Jesus’ name, amen.
