“It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.’ Having said this, he breathed his last.” Luke 23:44-46
Dear Lamb of God,
Forgive my indifference, ingratitude, and selfishness. Forgive my worldly human wisdom to comprehend what You have done for me. Forgive how I conform to the world, lack brotherly love, and fight against Your church. Forgive me when I choose to live apart from You. Forgive when I cast stones and continue to crucify You daily.
Forgive my lack of belief that You can do all things, forgive all sins, heal all afflictions, and guide us on a straight path.
You are the anointed One of God, Most Holy, the name before every knee shall bend, my Redeemer, my Lord, the Paschal sacrifice, Jesus the Christ, amen.
