Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for helping us understand that submission to God the Father is an intentional choice as it was for You.

Thank You for having Your beloved apostle capture Your words:

“For this reason, the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.” John 10:17-18

Today I empty myself and lay down my life for You. Fill me with Your Spirit, guide me, make me effective in order to glorify You, King of kings, Lord Jesus,
