“A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
Ezekiel 36:26
Dear LORD God,
Create in me a clean heart.
Thank You for creating me in Your image; fully capable of loving You completely and my fellow man; completely my choice, my free will, destruction and evil or peace, love, joy, and life eternal.
Thank You for making the choice so stark, and forgive me and allow me to repent all the times I straddle the fence, choosing lukewarmness, apathy, and comfort rather than choosing the right paths You set before me.
Grant me a heart that shuns the world and seeks You, carrying my cross daily as I crucify my old self, my old heart, and follow Jesus, as my joy becomes complete and abundant. Thank You and amen.
