Dear Lord Jesus,

Today I follow You. To whom else would I go? You have the words of eternal life. Today I honor You with my effort, my heart, my mouth. You have granted me this day. I will use it for good. Surrendered to You to do Your will.

Empty me of my ego and pride so that I can be transformed into your likeness, born again so that I can depart my old skin so that You can live in me, and me in You.

The world has nothing to offer where worshippers of Satan and his false promises predominate. I will grasp tight to Your rod and staff as I walk through the valley of the shadow of darkness. Evil will surround me. Anoint my head with oil and set a table for me in the presence of my enemies.

Protect my family. Allow them to radiate Your light brightly to others. Give them hearts of flesh, ears that hear, and eyes that see.
