“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his castle, his property is safe.” Luke 11:21

Dear Father God,

When I empty myself, making myself weak, I can be filled with Your Spirit, making myself strong.

Grant that I intentionally put on all of Your armor daily to thwart the wiles of the devil.

Grant that I wear Your belt of truth, step into shoes ready to proclaim the gospel of peace, wear Your breastplate of righteousness, put on Your helmet of salvation, take the shield of faith so that I can quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and wield Your sword of the Spirit, which is Your word; with which I will start my day in order to effectively surrender my day to Your will. To surrender to Jesus, not the world. To Jesus, before whom all knees shall bend, amen.
