“whoever says, 'I abide in him,' ought to walk just as he walked.” 1 John 2:6

Dear Lord Jesus,

Talk is cheap. However, it does reveal the heart. Make in me a clean heart so that I can walk the talk. I lived in hypocrisy for years, yet You still love me and call me Your own, even speaking to me to guide me on the right path. Thank You for allowing me to hear Your voice.

Lord, thank You for the wisdom to understand that when I am not hearing Your voice, it is not because You are withholding it; it is because I am not seeking it or allowing myself to hear it.

Lord, quiet me so that I can more readily walk in Your path, and allow for You to abide in me.

Lord Jesus, thank You and amen.
