“A star shall come out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel” Numbers 24:17

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are so thankful on this day that You ordained at the beginning. Thank You for revealing to Moses what would happen 1,440 years before it occurred, the same number of minutes in every single day, which is the number of minutes per day that Jesus is with us.

Thank You for this star shining brightly – in the darkness; as it is always dark without Jesus, and without heart-transformation, we remain in the shadows – which is why Life Begins at Surrender. Thank You for revealing this to me.

Thank You for the symbolism of a scepter to denote His royal authority, divine power, legitimate rule, the permission granted by You, for Jesus to be the judge, deciding justice, the determiner of righteousness, the Prince of Peace.

Father God, grant that we prefer the light to the darkness; choosing and accepting Jesus as the ruler of our lives, casting aside and breaking away from the world and its darkness.

Search our hearts this Christmas morning, and allow us to be filled with the light of Jesus, so that we can be rescued from the present darkness. Allow us to radiate this light to our families.

Thank You for the reason for the season, Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega, the Lion of Judah, the Light of all people, fullness, grace, of truth, the True Light, Your only Son, Jesus the Messiah, Savior and Lord, amen.
