“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!”

Luke 2:13-14

Dear Father God in the highest heaven,

What an amazing announcement of Your love for us, the importance of this event, and its unique nature, to have it announced by a multitude of the heavenly host and to the humblest of men, those assigned to watch over sheep and lambs.

How fitting such a heavenly announcement is made to shepherds to announce the Lamb who will take away the sins of the world!

How fitting that the angels were so excited!

My prayer is that more and more find the peace of Christ that is freely offered by the grace and mercy of our loving Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, amen.
