Dear Lord Jesus,

You told us that anyone who wants to be Your follower must take up their cross, deny themself, and follow You.

Grant that I deny disordered impulses and that my old self dies on that cross. Grant that I willfully, intentionally, with great endurance and perseverance drag that cross to the top of the rock and crucify my old self upon that cross so that my new self can follow You without hindrance of sin, with Satan behind me.

Grant that I save my life by losing it, as a new creation, in Your spirit. 

Grant that I follow You daily, committed to Your will and sacred heart of divine mercy.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen.
