Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for creating us with a heart that can choose You and choose to carry our cross and follow Jesus.

Thank You for Your Divine wisdom to grant us free will and the pain that comes with a hardened heart, twisting Your word, preferring darkness, and living with hate and fear.

Thank You for the fruit that is produced when we focus on You, surrendering our will to Yours.

Thank You for creating us with a heart that can love You more every day, making our paths straighter and straighter. Grant that today I follow Lord Jesus, carrying my cross with love in my heart. Amen.

Grant that I empty myself sufficiently so that You may fill me with Your Spirit to do Your will, walking with Lord Jesus, amen.
