“Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for the power and the love in Your name. Thank You for the courage and strength.

Forgive us for living in fear, refusing to trust in You fully.

Forgive our lack of theological understanding, preferring our own human understanding.

Forgive our lack of interest in the mysteries, preferring instead tangible goods and pleasures.

Forgive our failure to acknowledge You in all things, giving thanks in all circumstances, praying without ceasing.

Thank You for the love with which You fill our hearts once we abandon ourselves and surrender our will to You.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, amen.
