Dear Lord Jesus,

The world mocked You on the cross. You endured this in order to show us how to conquer sin, greed, ego, and pride to save our souls.

Grant me the endurance through Your spirit to carry my cross victoriously, stomping on all the vices of the world and promises of Satan, to make my way up the rocky hill to a glorious life with You.

Help me beware false prophets in sheep’s clothing who claim to know Your word and intentions and work to lead people astray and divide Your church, for they are like the chief priests who had the rock sealed covering Your tomb.

Grant that I accept Your always outstretched hand so that I can worship You at Your feet, like Mary Magdelene and the other Mary, joyfully, tearfully, with my heart bursting, Lord Jesus,
