“Jesus said to him, ‘Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.’” Luke 18:42

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for how You heal us when we come to You, humble and broken.

Thank You for Your love and mercy in our pitiable state, caused by our ego and pride, and the pursuit of other gods that cause us to focus on self and not You.

Lord, grant that I stop fighting it, thinking the path forward in this world is to conform to it and its false promises. For You alone are the truth, the way, and the life. Today I will reach out my hand, for I know that You will accept it and lead me beside still waters.

Today, when I feel anxious, I will cast all my anxieties onto You. I will rely on Your strength and not my own. Through You, I can do all things. Your rod and staff will guide me.

Surely goodness and love will follow me, and I will dwell in Your house forever. Amen.
