“John said to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” Luke 3:7

Dear Father God, Creator of all things,

Thank You for all who accept Your calling.

Thank You for those You call to share the truth of Your Word, to light our hearts, to pull us back from the grip of the evil one.

Thank You for helping us understand that our hearts cannot be divided; we are either “in” or “out.” Friendship with the world is enmity with You.

I ask that more hear Your voice, accept Your calling, deny themselves, carry their cross, and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior, in whom we have baptism in the Spirit, forgiveness of sins, and life eternal. Amen.
