“He said, ‘The one who showed him mercy.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Go and do likewise.’”

Luke 10:37

Dear Heavenly Father,

Grant that I sufficiently empty myself daily, releasing all judgment, greed, ego, and pride, so that I can be receptive to Your Spirit in order to change my heart.

Fill me with all the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, kindness, and self-control.

Grant that I multiply the fruits through the love, generosity, and mercy that I extend to others, so that they can see Jesus at work in me.

Grant that we are able to see our own hypocrisy, allowing Satan a foothold in our hearts, dividing it, withholding that portion from You.

Grant me the wisdom to realize I must not conform to the world but be transformed by the renewing of my mind to understand what Your will is, good, acceptable, and perfect. In Jesus’ name, amen.
