“If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”

Luke 9:23

Dear Jesus,

Can I truly follow You? Am I able to choose You rather than the world? Can I really turn off the noise?

Lord Jesus, allow my heart to be softened so that I can crucify my former life, living in a new skin with life that is daily surrendered to You, following Your footsteps, obediently and joyfully.

As I walk the road of Calvary daily, living in this broken world, let me be reminded of the compassion of the daughters of Jerusalem who wailed and beat their breasts because of their love for You.

I love You Lord Jesus and I choose to follow You, not the world. I choose Your far greater gifts than anything offered by the world and its ruler.

Thank You for offering me this choice. I choose You, the name above every other name.
