“He led me all around them; there were very many lying in the valley, and they were very dry.”
Ezekiel 37:2
Dear Lord God, Creator of all,
I praise You and sit in awe of the sun setting and rising, the waves crashing and receding, the phases of the moon, the songs of the birds, and the dryness of humanity.
Who shall You send to share Your Word? Send me. I have seen Your Word bring life to dry bones through Your Word Made Flesh.
Use me to share how bones can rattle and how, through Jesus, all things are made new. Send me to the driest deserts, where faith is lost; to the valleys of the shadow of death; to the presence of Your enemies.
Grant that through me Your voice rings loudly, like a trumpet, announcing salvation through Jesus Christ, becoming a new creation, emptying Yourself, carrying Your cross daily, and following Him, not the broken world; finding Your life through Him who gave His life for us. Thank You and amen.
