“What does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit themselves?” Luke 9:25

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am in awe of Your power and creation; Your interest in seeing it play out to Your will; Your desire to work all things for good for those who love You and are working according to Your purpose.

Guard, guide, and protect me from working for Satan’s purpose and will. Do not allow him a foothold in my mind and heart. Grant that I protect them zealously with Your armor, calling on the Spirit when I feel weak.

I forsake Satan and all of his empty, false promises. I refuse to hand Satan my soul for destruction.

Thank You for the power to choose. I choose Jesus. I choose to deny the world, carry my cross daily, and follow Jesus.

Thank You for Your love, thank You for the Holy Spirit when we are weak; thank You for Jesus, the Christ, my Savior and Lord, amen.
