“Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same intention (for whoever has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin), so as to live for the rest of your earthly life no longer by human desires but by the will of God.” 1 Peter 4:1-2

Dear Father God, Creator of all,

I praise You and thank You for how I am wonderfully made, perfect in Your image, a true miracle, with power and strength found through the Holy Spirit and my Lord Jesus.

Wash away my foolishness to visit the spirits in prison, and crawling with the serpents upon the earth, eating dirt, and thinking that is a fine feast.

Grant that today I live as a new creation, surrendered to Christ and not the world, where I can boldly exclaim, “Oh death, where is your sting?”

I surrender this day to Your will, and I pray these things through my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Amen.
