“But You, beloved, must remember the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

Jude 1:17

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for breathing Your Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, upon Your apostles in the upper room, opening their eyes and minds to all of scripture and its meaning. Thank You for how it moves us, best exemplified by Your disciples Cleopas and Simon who exclaimed, “Were not our hearts burning!”

Lord, forgive how we continue to crucify You daily with our lack of faith, belief, and obedience to what You told Your apostles and what they related to us, and their appointed bishops.

Please forgive how we run amok chasing what Satan tells us is good in lieu of what You and the apostles have told us is actually good, acceptable, and perfect.

Lord Jesus,

Amen
