“Why do you look for the living among the dead?” Luke 24:5

Dear Lord Jesus,

You are risen!

You foretold that You would be handed over and crucified and on the third day, rise again.

Isaiah told us, and John the Baptist reminded us, that all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

You Yourself said, “that the Kingdom of God has come near.”

We have repentance and the forgiveness of sins in Your name.

Thank You for the command to proclaim this and that if we truly want to follow You, that we must deny ourselves and carry our own cross.

Lord, I die to self and surrender to You, just as You surrendered it all for me.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, amen.
