“Then he said to them, ‘Oh, how foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have declared!’” Luke 24:25

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for calling us out. Forgive our lack of belief. Forgive our propensity to rely one hundred percent on our human understanding that is formed by the world and its ruler, Satan.

Forgive how easily we allow our eyes to be closed, our ears to be shut, our hearts to become stone, to Your word, preferring that they are just words on a page rather than something we must obey.

Help me to live in the Spirit so that I might understand things of the Spirit. Grant that I am surrendered to You and not the world.

Grow my belief, Lord Jesus, amen.
