“Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Ephesians 6:17

Dear Father God,

Thank You for providing us with a path to salvation through Your Son Jesus, a destination in which we can be assured as we walk in confidence through the valley of the shadow of death.

Thank You for the power of Your word, sharper than any two edged sword, capable of cutting through any obstacle or doubt that we may have and easily capable of cutting through anyobstacle or doubt that we may have and easily capable of cutting through any lie or false hope cast by the evil one.

Jesus, thank You for Your words spoken to John in a cave on Patmos regarding Your church in Ephesus, which is a great reminder for us all to love each other deeply and of the need for repentance.

Lord, may we all repent and be filled by the Spirit to know and understand Your word. Reveal Yourself to us. Amen.
