Dear Lord God,

Creator of all things, all goodness, all mercy, and love, who has given all humanity abundant signs of Your love for us.

Loosen my grip on my ego and pride so that I can love and surrender to You more. Strengthen my grip on Your sword and shield so that I am not seduced and deceived by the world and the evil one’s influence.

Take all of my faults and weaknesses and replace them with the will of Jesus. Allow me to empty myself daily so that I may receive a measure of Your Spirit in order to do Your will faithfully, acknowledging You in all things, giving thanks always, praying without ceasing.

You work all things for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Call me today to Your purpose. Choose me. I will go. Lead me to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Grant that I reach for His outstretched hand as He leads me through the shadow of the valley of death. Use me to glorify You today
