“For dogs are all around me; a company of evildoers encircles me. My hands and feet have shriveled; I can count all my bones. They stare and gloat over me; they divide my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots.” Psalms 22:16-18
Dear Jesus, Word Made Flesh, His Only Son,
Despised and nailed to the cross; humiliated, mocked, scourged; the cross being the most pitiable of deaths.
Scorned for telling the truth of the Word; ridiculed for pointing out Satan in the world; You set us free, if we choose.
Bearing the sins and punishment for all humanity; all of it for life has overcome death; death has no sting.
You have washed us clean if we choose it. Life or death, our decision; walking with You and not the world, our daily choice.
Grant that I carry my cross with You daily, crucifying myself, in order to truly follow You, not the world.
Thank You, God, the Father, thank You, God, the Son, thank You, Holy Spirit, Three in One. You have saved my life.
Amen.
