“This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.” Luke 23:52

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for convicting Joseph of Arimathea to go to Pilate, risking punishment and humiliation, asking for the body of Jesus, rather than the usual practice of leaving the bodies on the cross to decompose until only bones remained.

Thank You for this example of love and selflessness after all that Jesus went through for us.

Thank You for the empty tomb that we can visit today at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and place our hands upon the stone where Joseph laid the body of Jesus and from which Jesus was resurrected.

Grant me the faith, belief, and love of Joseph of Arimathea in all things and find me worthy of really big asks, in order to glorify You. Thank You, Lord Jesus, amen.
