“But by your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgement will be revealed.” Romans 2:5

Dear Father God,

Creator of a perfect world that we screwed up, Jesus, Your Son, paid the price, and we know who wins in the end.

You are deserving of the full lusts of our hearts, that You designed and gave us in order to love You completely and to love others.

You know that in this broken world, we shamelessly protect a portion of our hearts for grudges and all kinds of things that keep what is rightly Yours from You.

You know that in our ignorance and/or preference, we seek the heart that Satan desires, which is hard and impenitent.

Thank You for Your Son, our Savior, who we should worship as Lord, as our final judge, who is loving and will forgive us with the same measure that we forgive others.

Amen.
