“Therefore my dear friends, flee from the worship of idols.” 1 Corinthians 10:14

Dear Lord Jesus,

Forgive us for how we continue to crucify You daily with our indifference, our lack of faith, our lack of hope, our lack of trust to surrender it all to You, as You surrendered all for us.

Forgive how we continue to pierce Your heart with our worship of so many other things rather than You.

Forgive how we prefer to worship money, social status, celebrity, wealth, football, baseball, golf, power, addiction - anything of this world, perishable and empty - rather than You.

Forgive how we let Satan win every day, every single day.

Lord Jesus, thank You for how You come to us when we flee the devil. Thank You for Your endless generosity and charity to all who seek You.

Thank You, Lord Jesus. Amen.
