Dear Heavenly Father,

Great You are, and thank You for leaving us such a detailed description of the creation of Earth in the book of Genesis. Thank You for the gifts You are granting me today.

Grow me into the likeness of Jesus. Grant me obedience. Grant that I do not hinder others. Grant that I do not exalt myself. Grant that I am not a hypocrite.

Remove my greed and self-indulgence. Increase my patience, justice, mercy, and faith. Grant that I see others as You see them.

Grant that I see Your angels at work today. Grant that I radiate the light of Christ. Grant that I forgive as Jesus forgives. Grant that Jesus lives inside of me and that I do not remove Him because of a hard heart.

Grant peace and safety to my family today and make them useful for Your kingdom, Your sons and daughters, oh God, Amen.
