Dear Lord God,

Thank You for how You spoke through the prophet Isaiah. Thank You for telling us 2,700 years ago that You would give us a sign and it would be that a virgin would be with child and bear a son and name him Immanuel.

Thank You for telling Isaiah that a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders, and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His authority shall grow continually and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Lord, in this season where we remember and honor Your first coming and prepare for Your second coming, grant that we trust in You more and more and Your steadfast love. Thank You for how You work among us and thank ou for Jesus, before whom every knee will bend. Amen.
