Dear Lord God,

Thank you for creating Heaven and earth. Thank You for creating me. Thank You for revealing Yourself through Your Son. Thank You for giving me free will so that I can experience the full measure of the gifts of Your Spirit when I declare Jesus my Savior and Lord.

Grant me a heart of flesh, eyes that see, ears that hear, a soul that obeys, a will that surrenders. Loosen my grip on my ego and pride. Strengthen my grip on Your sword and shield.

Grant me the will to acknowledge You in all things, giving thanks always, praying without ceasing. Continue to form me, like clay, into the likeness of Christ. Grant me a willing Spirit to do Your will, faithfully with courage.

Do not allow me to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of my mind to understand what is Your will, and what is good, acceptable, and perfect. Your Will be done.

Shine the light of Jesus upon me so that as I walk in the valley of darkness I will fear no evil. Grant me a spirit to serve You only. Shine the light of Jesus upon my family, embrace them as your children, encourage them gently, use them as You will.

I ask this in the name of Jesus, the Alpha and Omega,
