“for all that is in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, the pride in riches—comes not from the Father but from the world.” 1 John 2:16
Dear Father God,
I praise You and bow before You, singing with all creation, rejoicing as the heavenly bodies.
I know You cast out Satan and a third of the angels from heaven because of their pride and rebellion, and now they roam the earth inflicting their pride and rebellion into the hearts of others; controlling the minds of the weak, distracting with their lies, possessing the unintentional; their filth is everywhere, stoking lust, desire, greed, pride—the walking dead.
Grant that I daily don Your armor so that I may stand against the wiles of the devil; not conformed to this world – and the cosmic powers of the present age – but transformed by the renewing of my mind, to understand what is Your will, and what is good, acceptable, and perfect. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
