“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 1:2

Dear Father God,

All praise, glory, and honor to You, Creator of all things, in whom all things occur.

Thank You for Your love, Your judgment, Your mercy, Your grace.

Forgive our ego and foolish human understanding, thinking that we are You, ignoring Your inconvenient word, and withholding our true worship.

Forgive our refusal to truly surrender, preferring our pride and friendship with darkness.

Forgive how we find fault with everything, including our brothers, refusing to look at our own hearts and willing obedience.

Grant that we empty ourselves enough so that You can fill us with Your Spirit.

Grant me a heart that seeks my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whose name this prayer is offered. Amen.
