“If we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:12

Dear Father God,

Thank You for creating us and providing us witha specially designed heart fully capable of a love that knows no bounds; built to love You completely, and because of that, able to extend that love to others rather easily, as that heart was built by You to do such a thing; to love others.

We love, because You loved us first. With such love, why would I ever fear?

Father God, grant me the recognition that if I am feeling fear, it is because I am lacking the gratitude of love, as perfect love casts out all fear. Grant that I see others with the eyes of Jesus, all worthy because You made them, all lovable because You made them. Grant me a heart that burns for Jesus, in whose name this prayer is written, because of His atoning sacrifice for me, His great love, the gift of abiding in Him, the honor of Him abiding in me, and the fullness of receiving the fruits of the Spirit.

Grant that today I am surrendered to Jesus and not the world.
