“So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16

Dear Father God,

Thank You for our afflictions, trials, and tests. Thank You for how they renew us when we surrender them to You so that You may guide us and heal us.

Forgive us when we fail the tests due to our outer nature and the destruction they cause, the families they affect, the body of Christ they do not support.

Grant patience, love, kindness, understanding, and if we have a quarrel with another, we approach it with love in our hearts, always mindful of the things above, not the things below.

Grant me eyes to see others the way You see them when You created them and Your intent to grow them into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus, in whose name this prayer is offered. Amen.
