Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for being the remedy for our perverse brokenness. Thank You for being the only answer in a world that worships self, greed, and Satan.

Thank You for loving us so much to endure our evilness as when we spat, struck, and slapped You because Caiaphas’ blindness could not accept You as the Messiah.

Forgive us as we spit, strike, and slap You every minute of every day today. Forgive our friendship with the world over choosing friendship with the Word, made flesh - just as Pilate chose friendship with Caesar rather than make the righteous decision.

There are so many led astray. Thank You for creating me for a time such as this. Grant that I am stripped of my ego and pride so that I am able to firmly grasp Your sword and shield and accomplish Your great purpose for my life.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen.
