“Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Dear Father God, Creator of all,

Thank You for the reminders that anxiety is caused by ignoring who You are, neglecting to trust in You fully, being too busy to listen for Your voice, believing the world and not the word, a lack of prayer, a lack of asking You to reveal Yourself, refusing to be humble, and acting as our own god.

Grant that I empty myself fully in order to be filled with the Holy Spirit and all of its fruits so that I can remain focused on doing Your will and communicating Your voice.

Lead me to the people I need and to people who need me. Use me today as I rely on the strength and power of my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, Your only Son, to overcome the weakness of my flesh. Amen.
