Dear Lord Jesus,

Penetrate my soul. Live within me deeply. Grow me into Your likeness. Fill me with peace, love, joy, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Eliminate my grip on my ego and pride so that You can work through me effectively. Eliminate my ego and pride so that I can be filled with Your power, strength, and blessings to do Your will.

Eliminate my ego and pride so that I am dependent upon clutching Your sword and shield – and rod and staff.

Protect me from evil. Grant that I invoke Your name when Satan draws near. Protect my family from evil. Loosen their grip on their ego and pride. Grant that they trust more in You and Your plan for their lives,

Today I will pray without ceasing and trust in Your goodness. Jesus. Amen.
