It is these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, who are causing divisions.

Jude 1:19

Come Holy Spirit,

Grant that I empty myself so that you can fill my every pore. Grant that I walk in the Spirit so that I can bear Your fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, and self control. Come Holy Spirit.

When I am devoid of the Spirit I am consumed with pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth with an overwhelming desire for division, chaos, confusion, and assigning blame to everyone but Satan himself.

Worst of all is that when I am devoid of the Spirit I refuse to surrender to Jesus as Lord, which is really shunning Him.

Come Holy Spirit, remove my ego and pride. Let me walk hand and hand with my Lord Jesus in whose name this prayer is offered.

Amen
