Dear suffering Jesus,

Forgive our lukewarmness. Forgive our lack of charity. Forgive our unwillingness to love others as You taught us. Forgive our friendship with the world and our love of Satan. Forgive our love of money.

Forgive our putting You back on that cross daily by our actions. Forgive our complete lack of love for what You so lovingly did for us. Forgive that we continue to pierce Your side because we follow our misguided worldly thoughts instead of Your word, because we think Your word does not apply to me but to everyone else, and that we, not You, get to judge.

Forgive the pain I will cause You today. Forgive my lack of charity. Forgive any grudge in my heart that keeps You out.

Thank You for loving a sinner such as me. Amen.
