“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Dear Heavenly Father,

Grant that when I am not full of joy and peace that I fully recognize it is because of the devil’s work.

Grant that when I lack joy and peace, I recognize it is because I prefer the dark to the light.

Grant that I see people the way that You see them, made in Your image, that Satan works tirelessly to corrupt.

Grant me obedience to Your word, not my word.

Grant me obedience to Your thoughts, not my thoughts.

Grant that I walk hand in hand with my Lord Jesus through this valley of darkness; my hope as Jesus is the way, the truth, and life. Amen.
