Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your infinite love and mercy. Thank You for the anguish you endured to bear all the transgressions of a sinful people. Forgive me when I have turned my back on You.

Thank You for never leaving us, although we may leave You thinking we can do it in our own strength. Thank You for all the miracles, benefits, and conversations You provide. Thank You for the many ways You come to us. Thank You for coming to us in the breaking of the bread, and how You become evident in that miracle like when the disciples on the road to Emmaus recognized You through the breaking of the bread.

Grant that I see Your love, peace, and power in everything I encounter today. Grant that I trust in You and accept your outstretched hand. Grow in me a heart of flesh and eyes that see. Grant that my children come to You today, lie down in green pasture beside still water, where You can restore their souls. Be their rock and redeemer.
