Dear Father God,

You made the heavens with Your word and the hosts with Your breath. You created us for Your pleasure. Let all the earth fear You and stand in awe of You. Thank You for fashioning our hearts and protecting those who love You.

Thank You for being near the broken-hearted and saving the crushed in spirit.

Thank You for rescuing us and redeeming the life of Your servants.

You are almighty. Forgive us our folly and trust in the ways of the world and false idols. Forgive us for not trusting in Your divine creation and perfection. Forgive us for placing our trust and worship in mortals and not You. Forgive us for being so led astray.

Cover me with Your goodness. Protect me like a shield. Fill me with Your spirit. Grant me Your well-fitting armor.
