“Was it not necessary that the Messiah should suffer these things and then enter into his glory?”
Luke 24:26
Lord Jesus,
Oh, how we have failed You since the creation of the earth. The flood allowed for a rebirth and a new start, but we failed again.
The prophets were so clear, but we chose a different path. Jeremiah spoke of the woe of pursuing our own path, and we put him in a cistern. Isaiah was very clear and graphic, yet our eyes could not see it.
Thank You for bearing our grievous sin; for making the unredeemable, redeemable. Thank You for being the ultimate and final blood offering. Thank You for being the perfect sacrifice, the unblemished lamb, for a sinner like me.
Thank You, Lord Jesus, amen.
