Dear Lord Jesus,

Forgive our apostasy. Forgive our not acknowledging our neighbor. Forgive our tendency towards self-sufficiency instead of surrendering to You and coming to You with open hands. Forgive our attempts at being wise instead of coming to You as a child. Forgive the parts of our soul being gripped at by the evil one. Forgive the many times we don’t abandon self. Forgive our lack of faith, our lack of trust, our rejection of You.

Grant the divine mercy of Your sacred heart as YOu shepherd us to green pastures and restore our soul and lead us through our day where Your name casts out evil and temptation and all fear.

Thank You for the gifts of life, peace, love, joy, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Grant that we serve faithfully today growing disciples for You. Amen.
