Dear Lord Jesus,

For the sake of Your powerful passion, You offer mercy to us and the whole world.

Grant that we do not live in our sins but come to You humbly to confess and repent of our sins.

Thank You for setting the example of humbleness by riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, even though You were the messiah, the King of kings - just as David and Solomon exhibited humbleness with Solomon riding on a mule when he was made king.

Lord, strip me of my ego. Strip any desire to place myself ahead of You. Remove all need to exult myself. Grow my desire to be as Simon of Cyrene and to help You carry that cross so that more will experience salvation.

Lord, I deserve nothing, but You have given me everything. Have mercy upon me and upon the whole world, Lord Jesus, Amen.
