“Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, ‘Go and prepare the Passover meal for us that we may eat it.’” Luke 22:7-8
Dear Lord Jesus, His Only Son,
What a week of Passover preparations for all of Jerusalem in 33AD. The crowds of people, Your triumphant return through the East Gate, tossing the money tables, upsetting the scribes and the priests, and then sharing the Seudah Maphsehket with Your apostles; the remembrance of God the Father sparing the firstborns, the meaning of which should not be missed on this memorable evening.
The First Born, His Only Son, the Second Adam; thank You for being our Paschal sacrifice, the great exchange for all humanity who accept You.
Thank You for the instruction to “do this in remembrance of me.” Thank You, Lord Jesus, amen.
