Dear Father God,
Many claim to know You and Your Son and will say things that sound pleasing to a divided heart; a heart set on worldly gain, worldly hope, worldly truth.
Heal my heart to fully praise You, through whom all blessings flow. Help me to understand that it is not about asking you to bless what I do because of my selfishness and pride, but that it is actually about You blessing what it is that You want me to do.
Help me rest in You so that I avoid the darkness of comparison, envy, greed, ego, pride, vanity, and emptiness.
Grant that I follow Your Only Son, Jesus, denying myself, carrying my cross daily, and following Him, not the world. Dear Jesus, have mercy on me. Amen.
