O Lord of Hosts,

Our Heavenly Father, Creator of all things. Your will is perfect, as is the beauty of all you have created.

Thank you for knowing me in the womb. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for being patient with me while forming me and growing me into the likeness of Jesus.

Grant that I continue to walk away from my old skin. Loosen my grip on my ego and pride so that I trust You more and live in faith not fear. Strengthen my grip on your sword and shield. You are my shepherd. You lead me beside still waters. You restore my soul.

I surrender my will to you. Your plans, your will, your purpose for my life is much greater than my own. Your goodness surrounds me like a shield. Use me today for Your purpose, Your pleasure.

Shine the light of Christ upon me and my family. Fill us with your Spirit, a willingness to forgive others, a greater capacity to love, and to experience joy. Grant us the wisdom to avoid the snares of the devil, to avoid reliance on human understanding, and allow you to make our paths straight.
